Ideas?!

We continue to get snow…..

and as much as I love winter, I’m starting to

think that I’ve had enough.

The good thing is,  it keeps me inside and I’ve picked

my hooking back up.

I’d like to have this rug finished and bound in time to take to the

Lenexa Hook-In at the first part of March.

I picked it up this weekend and worked at it like I meant it!

Then I took a picture and that’s when it jumped out at me…

all of the dark rocks at the lower right hand corner just

drag your eye to them……

So…..un-hook the rocks and hook them in a more medium tone?

Or in bright colors, or un-hook and add another part of a fish?

I’m not sure? What do you think?

Dulcy. The necklace is vintage and I’ve had it for years,

but have never had anything that it looked “right” with,

until now…..THANKS DULCY!!)

    1. Lauren, He doesn't look happy with his snood, but he never tried to take it off...once he was finished eating he just left it on and went and got on his dog bed....he is absolutely one of the easiest going dogs we've ever had!

  3. I'm sure whatever you decide with your rug it will be gorgeous! How cute are your pups...love that snood, I've never seen that before. That is a great picture of you, cute necklace and sweater. Thanks for visiting my blog. I've been out of it for a while and trying to start back up again. I appreciate your stopping by!

    1. Lisa, the snoods are such a great thing to keep those long ears out of the food....he normally doesn't wear one, but with French toast and syrup, I screamed "WAIT" until I got it on him! Saw them on bassets at dog shows and my girlfriend made the one he's wearing.

  4. Maybe you could just kind of add in some neutrals to the darks (dotting in and around the edges) and that might soften them up without redoing them. I love the colors as they are.... and the rug looks fabulous!
