I saw this at an Anthropologie store when blogless
Sandy and I went to Lenexa, KS for the big hook-in
last month and forgot to share it, so it’s been sitting
in my picture files just waiting for me to do something
with it.
I love how it looks like a big piece of the forest floor
has been hung on the wall.
Can you tell what it’s made of?
I’d love to hear your guesses!
I’ve got a “close-up” of it that I’ll share tomorrow.
I guarantee that once you find out what it’s made of it will
make you look at “materials” in a whole new light.
This is one of those pieces that makes you go “hmmmmm”
and I mean “hmmmmm” in a good way.
Yarn ~ maybe made from bamboo or hemp? Can't wait to hear!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's made of unravelled knitted yarn of assorted weight and cords. It's a very intriguing piece. Very unique and beautiful. Thanks for sharing. JB
ReplyDeleteReminds me of dyed fibers: ropes of different materials (plastic and straw), nylon stockings and threads, and as Julia said unraveled sweater yarn (some twisted around itself). Maybe dyed pastas thrown in too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like different types of
ReplyDeletefabric trims, twisted and balled up. Very cool!
