My friend/co-worker, is working on this cute pattern that has a child’s drawing of a cat. She is working on the background and thinks it might be too busy….what do you think? She asked for my my opinion as well as eBay Renee’s on what type of background she should have. Renee suggested a pale yellow or grey. I suggested a pale purple or this white with the thin blue lines to make it look like notebook paper.
What do you think? What would you do?
I'm really liking the notebook paper look - especially with the way the cat is drawn - I think that will set it off - i would go dark in the border background though - like someone drawing and solidly "filling it in"
ReplyDeleteI like the note book paper look too. You could also extend the note book paper look to the outside border. Or the darker border like Joanne suggested.
ReplyDeleteFun Fun RUG!!!

I love the notebook look too. My grandkids are always drawing on notebook paper at my home. I too would do the border dark. It is so cute, I may have to save all those drawings of my grandkids. What a cute cat.
ReplyDeleteI do like your idea of the notebook background! Me, I'd go dark to make that cat really stand out! But that's just me!! I love that pattern!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the notebook paper! It is the perfect kid style and choice of materials! I think the cat is super! I just love kid drawings.

Notebook all the way. Very cute idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Alice!!!!!! I love the concept of the notebook paper........but............
ReplyDeleteThe colorful cat is so wonderful........and I would hook it with a dark blackish (like Crow Feathers) background to really make those colors POP!!!!!! The cat is the focus.........not the paper.
Fabulously darling rug!!!!!
And yes, pop those bright colors out into the border.
Can Renee hook some darkish background and then you submit another picture?????? Just a thought.
:-)
I all for the notebook paper too.Great rug.

Definately the notebook paper. Makes it look like a kid's drawing for sure.
ReplyDeleteI like the note book paper look. It reminds me of what the child would have drawn the picture on.
