My studio has become a dumping ground!

…..and it’s driving me crazy! I’ve been looking at beautiful craft rooms today on other blogs and I really need to get mine in order.  If you’ve known me for a long time, you know that organization is a constant battle for me…..I’d love to at least get the bed cleared off…it’s such a pretty antique iron bed.

1. pile of summer clothes that need to be put away

2. wire shelves that are just holding junk….these are just not working here, plus they are pretty darn ugly

3. Slate sealer that needs to find a proper home

4. 4th of July doll and pillow that need put away

5.  Cookbook

6.  basket of selvedges

7.  Puritan frame…really needs a home

8.  cutter….again…needs a home

9.  knitting project for Sheri’s challenge at Shabby Sheep

10.  one of those bags that you suck the air out of holding quilts…need to suck the air out of it and put it away

11.  Shark head…part of dog Halloween outfit

12. Rolled up rugs that need to be displayed

13. Random books.

  3. Tammy...reading your blog is always a pleasure for me. Numbering your photos has me laughing out loud, for sure! You do have a mess, but not one bigger than a lot of us, I think.

  5. LOL what does it say about me that I don't think that looks all too bad???!! haha!! I've seen pics of your studio looking a lot worse for the wear! And MINE right now is WAY worse! (and i'm avoiding it like the plague. tsk tsk!)
Soo... here's my theory... just like those cookies you place up high on the fridge having less calories (cuz they have less gravity lol) Rule #1 - if you are improving any area of your house, then that cancels out the other areas of your house! (because the stuff in the room being renovated needs to go SOMEWHERE, right??!!)
Rule #2 - all things needing a home, if deposited in one room will eventually find a home!!(because we ALL KNOW the mess HAS to get bigger before it gets smaller (while cleaning)! And all those things needing homes, in one room is might motivating to MAKE homes for them! LOL)
So yah... me thinks the rest of your house looks absolutely magnificent! (I am LOVING the color of red you chose!!) So you are allowed to have one room that you can close the door on! hee hee. They don't call me princess enabler for nuthin! :D

Thanks for the laugh :-) Cleaning the hooking/craft room is on my list of things I still have to finish this evening.
Company's coming (even though it's family) for Thanksgiving and this needs to get done!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
    Pug hugs :)

  7. Oh boy - that was a fun post to read and compare the numbers to the pics - I don't think i can count high enough to number the messes in my hooking room right now! So happy I'm in good company!

  8. Tammy, I LOVED the numbering system too! I'll bet you know where everything is if you really need it though. It's not That bad!
