Still on a quest!

A quest for organization......

I've spent my morning going through my wool bins and trying to cull out a few of my bits and scraps and think about what projects I want to work on this year.
That has resulted in me finishing this set of Indian Corn that I started hooking....say about a year and a half ago or so. The hooking part was easy....I mean...it was a KIT for goodness sake from Log Cabin Hooked Rugs. I don't know that I've EVER purchased a kit...except for my beginning rug hooking kit that I bought as part of my very first hooking class that I took 8 or 9 years ago, but I was curious as to how they were put together....now I can tell you.....lots of hand-sewing!!!! But, I persisted and finished them.......done quite early I might add so I'll have them ready to go for next fall :)

I've also finished my knitted Valentine dishrags for my mil and my grandma.
As well as FINALLY sewing the back on this hooked and prodded piece to turn it into a pillow that is now in my Etsy store.

Putting this sweet little bunny penny rug

on eBay.

As I've sorted through my wools I've bundled some of them up and put them on eBay as auctions starting at 99 cents.....lots to choose from...

...darks...

....Carribean colors....

....foxy colors....
and I hope to add more as time allows today....

....this is just one of the stacks I'm trying to make my way through....
I want to eventually be at a place like this.....

A bright space with everything in it's own spot....at least for a bit!!!

Go forth and be creative,

Tammy

  1. Tammy, where did you get that pic of the beautifully organized fabric stash? I'm always on the lookout for organization ideas, and this one is fabulous!! Is it from a blog? I'd love to see the original posting.

    Love your wool!!

  2. April, a great place to find images is at www.flickr.com I think I typed in "organized studio" or "organized fabric". Also try Anna Maria Horner....I think that is the person...not sure of the spelling.
