Today we are getting a new liner put in.....I'll share more pictures as the work begins this morning at 8:30.
Can't wait to see the final results!
We've been in our home for about 13 years now and the liner has faded out to almost white....it was a glistening mosaic when we moved in.....sun and chemicals cause it to fade....it's been faded for a while now and the pool folks say the average life for a vinyl liner is about 15 years and the pool was already here when we bought our house....we thought it best to replace it before it got cracks or tears and then we'd have a REAL problem on our hands.
We should be up and running for the 4th of July holiday, but boy that water is going to be COLD!!!!
Hi Tammy ~
ReplyDeleteI bet that water will feel so good as our outside temp climbs higher once more! Have a wonderful 4th of July! Summer Blessings, Katie
Happy American Friendship day..
ReplyDeleteTammy---hope you're enjoying the pool with the new liner this weekend! It's not so hot here in SD today...but I'm not complaining! :o)
ReplyDeleteWhen I grew up, when we drained the pool my parents would hang sandbags down the side to hold down the liner until they could clean and fill it. Mom would sew up the bags on her peddle machine in the basement. One time when my dad turned on the filter for the first time that year, a bunch of baby frogs came flying out! Not to worry, they were all alive.
