Whatever you decide to use I'm sure it will be wonderful. My friend who goes to Cape May rug camp with me buys different shiny yarns and does wonderful things with eyelash yarn, ribbon yarn in sparkle colors and she is much more expressive than me with the drab antique look but love everything she does. So go for it! Whatever IT is!!!!!
Sari silk ribbon yarn--you can check it out at The Wool Peddlar or Darn Good Yarn--buying it benefits women in India and Nepal! I know Deanne Fitzpatrick uses it in her rugs.
Mylar?
ReplyDeleteMaybe try sari ribbons.
