Sunday, I ran outside as it was starting to rain and took
pictures of the tree peonies that are blooming.
Wanted to make sure I captured their beauty before they
got beat down with rain.

The weather here has been lovely, warm enough to get
those lily white legs out in the sun!
We’ve been taking advantage of the nice weather and the
dogs have been getting to go on walks through the
neighborhood and into the woods.
Below is a picture of our “neighborhood dog”….
This dog doesn’t belong to anyone, but a lot of people in
our neighborhood leave her food and water on their porches.
One house has a glider with a blanket that she stays on when
the weather is cold. When we see her and walk by with our dogs,
we always say, “hi neighbor dog” and she just lifts her head in
acknowledgement as we go by.
Sweet dog, just prefers to be on her own.
She has even had a story written about her in our local newspaper
a few years ago.
You can read it HERE.
The wooded area where we walk is pretty and we enjoy it
as much as we can, because some day it will be torn down
and there will be a grocery store instead.
Just makes me sad to think about it.
A little video of Lonnie and Buzzbee playing with our friend’s
dog, Handsome. They think the pool cover is a trampoline!
Lonnie always has to make sure and “mother” dogs that
get too wet….always trying to “take care” of them!
I’ve finished hooking the moose that was inspired
by the great book, “Scrappy Rugs”.
Now to get it bound and made into a pillow!
It has been a fun way to use up a lot of my worms, but I
still have a lot more that need to be hooked into SOMETHING!
I’ve signed up to go to a workshop with Heather Ritchie, from
England, as my teacher….that is coming up in June….can’t
wait!!
I’m thinking, perhaps, a bit before then, I might go in
and dye up some pretty wools to take with me.
What will I be working on?
I have no idea….
I think I’ll just take some backing
and some ideas and draw them up when I get there.
The workshop is at Ivy Jean’s Ozark Farmstead.
Looks like fun doesn’t it?!
I swear, some days I would get to work and feel like I was
going to puke my socks up. That’s weird, I don’t feel like I’m
coming down with anything.
Oh yeah, I took my vitamins on an empty stomach! I’m not talking
just any vitamins….I had searched out vitamins that were made from
whole foods and I was paying quite a bit for them, as well as other
supplements that weren’t included in the multi-vitamins.
Little did I know that these “whole food” vitamins still contained
synthetic stablizers and other crap:
Check the label of your current multi-vitamin.
None of these ingredients should be a part of any natural health program.
Polysorbate 80
Hydrogenated Oils
Sodium Benzoate
Colorings and dyes
Crystalline fructose
Aspartame, Sucralose (Splenda), Saccharin
Silicon Dioxide
Polyethylene Glycol
Titanium Dioxide
Fillers and binders of any kind
Many of the additives on the above list are known carcinogens.
No one should take a health product containing toxic additives!
At the end of October, I had surgery, and part of my healing process
was having Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy sessions.
This is where I ran across the most wonderful, what I call,
Super Vitamins. My Certified Natural Health Practitioner, Rhonda Cavin,
introduced me to Miri Vita Daily Wellness formula.
I asked her if I had to take the vitamins with food or if I could take them
on an empty stomach. She told me that there is nothing synthetic
in the vitamins and that they are organic and non-GMO. Once
opened, the vitamins have to be refrigerated because they have no
artificial preservatives.
I asked her how it tasted….she gave me a sample…hmm, not bad. Kind
of tastes like a fruit roll-up.
So, long story short, I’ve been using this since November and I’m
SOLD on this product….so much so, that I’ve become a distributor!

Okay, back to our regular programming…..this moose rug is finished and I’ll
share a picture of it on tomorrow’s blog!
Today was a wonderful day to celebrate with friends
and family.
Floral arrangements by Kenny.
Carrot cake cheesecake by moi.
I’ve had Runt featured on my sidebar for a while now.
I click on his picture every day hoping that he has found a home.
This morning when I clicked to check on him, it says that he’s
had his eye removed for something called microphthalmia
(eye abnormality). He came to the shelter with another
dog named Bunny, he was her seeing eye dog. I guess she’s
since been adopted.
Hoping this happy guy finds a forever home soon! He pulls
at my heart strings….I suppose he reminds me of all of my
little stuffed orphan animals that I collect…tattered and
torn and just looking for love.
I swore, after nuclear medicine school, I would never eat
Ramen again…..well, Kenny changed my mind last night.
He made this wonderful soup full of ramen, chicken, snow peas,
carrots, mushrooms and green onions…..
something he found on Pinterest and tweaked to his own likings.
You can find the inspiration recipe by clicking HERE.
Swimsuit season is coming up…..are you trying to change it up
and eat a little lighter to get ready for shorts and swimsuits?
Becky Sharp has found a home! YAY!! Who couldn’t
love that FACE!!
Check out my sidebar to see Runt who’s been looking for
a family of his own for a while now.
