Just a quick thanks to all of you who gave comments
on the “re-doing” of Cleopatra’s eye.
April suggested that I turn the picture into black
and white to better see the values between the colors of
the eye and the trees surrounding it.
Here’s what that looks like.
Oh wow….big difference huh?….That shows me that I
need to make that part of her eye quite a bit more light!
On another note, Wendie Scott Davis, who is doing this
wonderful impressionistic/chunky hooking that I love so much
reminded me of this website, where you can turn your
pictures into all kinds of wonderful renditions……
Here are a few I played with earlier today.
I turned this picture……
….into this….
Then I took another picture of Lonnie…..
…..and turned it into this…..
Oh yeah, the website is BeFunky, I’ve used it before,
but had kind of forgotten about it, plus now it has
WAY more features than it did originally!
Go try it out and have fun!
Love the black and white photo idea ~ I've heard it before but would never think of it! Thanks for the reminder!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I think it's so neat how you do that. Love your hooked rug!
ReplyDeleteTammy, thank you so much for this information and I've saved the link in my favorites so I can experiment as well. My departed girl Shadow needs to have a rug hooked in her honor and for sure know it will be a wide cut vs. the #3 I hooked for my departed Rotties, but it will give me some ideas on how to hook her.
