I guess some of you might be wondering why I’m selling
off so many of my rugs…..
Well, the other day, I decided to give myself the gift of
deleting my Facebook account and spending more time this summer
investigating new territories.
One thing high on my list is to whip my “rug hooking room” into shape.
By “whipping it into shape”, I mean transform it into a space where
I have room for beautiful wool,
drawing,
creative art journaling,
sewing
and yoga.
So how do “I” do this?
"Decide where you are going and how you are to get there.
Then make a start from where you now stand."
~Napoleon Hill~
First, I form a vision in my mind of what I want it to look like, and then I have to start getting rid of everything that is not in that vision.
Well, let me tell you, I’ve got a lot to get rid of
I’ve also been wanting to make some changes to my blog, so you might
notice up at the “near top” of the page, I have more “pages”.
These are galleries of rugs that I’ve hooked and rugs that are for sale.
I will try to add to them as I find time.
As for “learning something new everyday”…..I’m in the process of teaching
myself to slipcover a few pieces of furniture…..I’m in the “muslin” stage.
I’ll try to update what is going on with that project this weekend.
Go forth and make more time to be creative,
Tammy
For now it’s finding time to blog the sale rugs….I’ll try to update that by this weekend.
Thank you for this reminder to stay focused on things that matter most. As the old saying goes, sometimes you have to get rid of the old to make room for the new. For those of us who love to create, it's easy to take on too much and get distracted. PS I really admire you for dropping FB.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of staying focused and making room for something new and meaningful in our lives by getting rid of unwanted stuff. Yoga is not a bad idea too. I used to do yoga years ago and life got busy with kids and business.
ReplyDeleteI like your new changes to your Blog.
Take care and enjoy life.
