More from the rug show

I think I’m to the end of my pictures of individual rugs from the rug show, but I do have more pictures that I will be posting of the vendors booths….you won’t want to miss those later this week.
Here is a shot at how the rugs are hung for the show….some are hung and some are on the floor….it’s really quite overwhelming!  If you have any information on the rugs I’ve posted please leave a comment of send me an e-mail so I can give proper credit.  Also, if your rug was in the rug show and I didn’t get a pictures of it, I’d love it if you’d send it to me and I’ll post it in a future blog entry.  I tried my hardest to get pictures of everything, but I’m sure there are a few rugs that I just plain missed.

(This rug has been quite the topic of conversation on the internet and also at the show.  The rug pattern came in a huge lot of patterns that my friend Renee bought from a hooker who was going into a retirement home.  We have searched and searched to find the designer, so if you have any information…PLEASE let me know.  The rug was hooked by one of our local hookers, Belva Brown)

Rug-A-Palooza Continues

Happy Saturday!!! And I mean that from the bottom of my heart….I don’t know the last time I was so happy to greet a weekend.

Work has been crazy busy and promises to be the same next week, so I’m grabbing the weekend by the horns and riding it as hard as I can!

Plans for heading out to the farmers market to see if there is anything interesting to buy and cook, then getting my hair cut….not really short, not yet…just a trim and then the rest of the day I hope to be out in the 64 degree sunshine….YAY!

Here are more beautiful rugs from the rug show in Lenexa, KS.  If you have ANY information on these rugs please leave me a comment or e-mail me so I can give proper credit to the wonderful designers and hookers!

Vendor: Judy Cripps of Rustic Rugs

Judy has big wonderful, primitive patterns at a reasonable price…..her booth is ALWAYS abuzz with activity….so much so that I had a hard time getting pictures…..she always has rugs on the floor of her booth, which just goes to show….rugs are made to be walked on….it gives them such a nice patina!
