Pictures from 2 walks

Pressed for time this morning, but I think all of these photos are beautiful.  The dogs below are dogs that we see on one of our dog walks near Phelps Grove Park….we call them “the ragamuffins” or “three musketeers”.  They are just so cute out in front of this cottage-style home.

As we were walking in the same neighborhood we saw signs of spring.

As I was lying on the ground getting this photo, other walkers stopped to admire the beauty of these little flowers….yes, I will actually sprawl out on someone’s driveway to get the perfect shot :)

I don’t know what kind of bush or hedge this is….it is along the parking lot at Phelps Grove park….it has beautiful dried star shaped flowers…..none of my close-ups “took”, they were all blurry. The pictures below are from a dog walk in a patch of woods by our house…..right in the middle of the city…..yes, we walked the dogs through all of this brush with leashes on….it’s quite a feat, but they love it!

Ahhhh, a day off work!
Up early with my 1/2 pot of chocolate fudge coffee and the dogs sleeping in. I’ve finally caught up on my e-mails from the past couple of days.  Posting additional pictures from the rug show is even more enjoyable for me now, because I don’t have to rush and it’s been a few days since I’ve seen the pictures and it’s even more exciting to look back at them. Okay, my memory is starting to fade a little bit, but I think these beautiful wools were in their booth……what jumped out at me is they have lots of wonderful holiday designs.  If you love the vintage look….this was the booth to be in!

Movies and a cocktail

No rugs today folks. Last night I had such a great evening after work. I came home and was hungry for a snack and so was Kenny, so I made another batch of homemade pita chips and some more flaming cheese like I made back HERE for the Olympics…..you’ve really got to try the flaming cheese sometime.

Lonnie was really wound up, so he and I took a solo run/walk together which was fun.  The air was brisk, Lonnie found a squirrel to chase and I found $10 on the ground!  Cleopatra was content to stay home and play ball with Kenny.  Okay, we had to sneak out of the house and Kenny said she cried when she couldn’t find us, but he tried to console her by playing ball and giving her a “spa brushing” session.

We decided to stay in and watch a movie…..”Coco Before Chanel”.  We didn’t realize it was in French and had subtitles, but who can complain about listening to people speak French?!  It’s such a beautiful language.  I know it’s still cold in a lot of the country, so if you want to snuggle in and watch a movie, I think this one is worthwhile.

Kenny made us these fabulous cocktails also…..oh my gosh….they are DE-LISH! Very refreshing and maybe more of a summer drink, but I loved them just the same….he made them with fresh lemon juice from his lemon tree…..I think I might be addicted!  It’s called a “Tuaca Lemon Drop” or “Portland Trolley Car”…..I prefer the “Portland Trolley Car” name myself!
