Ever feel like it looks like nothing is going
on in your life from the outside, but on
the inside, things are happening?
For some reason, I’ve developed insomnia…..
meet my new friend….
I hate taking medicine, but I’ve turned into a
person who feels psychotic….I don’t do well
on limited sleep like some Martha Stewart types.
I need a good 8 hours minimum!
I’ve always prided myself in being able to
fall asleep quickly, and if I wake up in the middle
of the night I could always go right back to sleep.
This has made me feel so exhausted that I’ve
even been to the doctor to be checked
over for anemia, thyroid issues, blood sugar
issues, hormonal issues……
NOPE!
I’m the picture of health!
Healthy, but too tired to do most of the things
that I’ve always done.
Using the sleeping pills is getting me back on track,
but I’m looking for something more natural to use.
I’ve looked at melatonin, but it can have some bad
side effects.
If you have any ideas I’d love to hear them.
Welcome to my world! I took Ambien occasionally ~ didn't like the feeling the next morning! Melatonin doesn't get rave reviews on Dr. Oz. I hope you find an answer and share it!! I've been awake since 3:30!!
ReplyDeleteI have recently had the same problem. The doctor prescribed a mild sleeping pill which works great but I don't want to take them forever. Someone told me recently to try eating peanut butter before bedtime.
ReplyDeleteI went through that problem when I was going through pre-menapause. I had many more symptoms but the long sleepless nights were the worst.
ReplyDeleteI also went through a period of being nervous, lack of self confidence behind the wheel , loss of memory, cried easily for no reason. It was the roughest time in my life but it went away.
One thing that has helped me sleep like a baby was foot reflexology. I got such a restful sleep and no side effect. Sleeping pills made me feel tired the next day.
I hope that you can get a good night sleep.
Good luck
JB
Boy, Tammy, I really sympathize on this one. I am guessing you have a lot of company on this matter. I hope someone has a great answer to help all of us. Thanks for bringing this up.
ReplyDeleteTammy.....I think it just goes along with aging. (SORRY) But, I do. (I know you are a mere babe).
ReplyDeleteTHAT being said.....pls pls pls do not take Ambien. I took it for 8 years. It is one of the worst hell's I have ever been thru. I had to go 6 nights, without sleep, to get it out of my system. But, I did quit cold turkey, without the help of anyone. Just my sheer determination.
I still have my bouts with insomnia. If I do wake up, I put the time to good use......I have heard that sleeping with lavender under your pillow.....in a nice little pack.....will help.
Be careful, as I know you will be. xoxoxox
Tammy ~
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your sleepless nights. No fun. I hope you find relief soon.
LOVE the pic of Buzzbee at the wheel. Too cute.
Hugs :)

ReplyDeleteWell dear I don't know your age , however I am in my 60's and I went through that several years off and on from age 50 It was weird I wouldn't tell anyone for a long time, I thought I was having a break down? Because I was always a good sleeper , then a woman said welcome to menopause and aging
I was going through being alone for the first time in my life and I thought that was it
It's over !!!!!!!!!! finally and now I have new problems LOL that keep me sleepless some night back problems LOL
It's always something
Good Night

ReplyDeleteSnuggle doggie doesn't work for you?
I love to put Charley in the bed with us and snuggle up to his curls.
Works every time.
It's 1:20 a.m. Where in the world is Charley?
