Rust and pewter wool collections

I had a request to have some soft rust colored wools and this is what I've come up with.

Old Rust CollectionThis is a total of 3/4 yards of wool.

1/4 yard of each color!

The first color is a hand-dyed wool called "Nutmeg", the next two are wonderful as-is wools.

I think they work great together.

Pumpkins, rusty sandpails, fall leaves...the possibilities are endless.

A collection of wools of various sizes.

The first wool is a medium blue/gray color and measures 16" x 13"

The second wool is a bit lighter in color and measures 16" x 13".

The last wool is much darker, but still in the same color family. It is smaller at 16" x 11".

All of the wools in this collection are thinner than what I normally sell, but they are totally hookable.
Due to the fact that they are a bit thinner ....of course they are priced at a lesser price.

The garden is laughing with color

Every year I think that Kenny has outdone himself in the garden.....this year is no different.

The trees are finally getting LARGE and impressive! The tree peonies are absolutely spectacular this year!

The leatherleaf vibernum is so lush!
We even have iris' in bloom!
Here is a nice little sanctuary for the birds. They like to sit in the trees or on the fence and pop down into the water fountain for a drink or a bath.
Here is a better picture of the tree they like to sit in.....isn't it a wonderful color?

Can anyone out there recommend a good printer?

Last night my printer quit on me.....not quit, but when I hit the print button the page came out blank. So, after work, I went to Office Depot and bought a new printer cartridge....installed it...and still BLANK pages.

I've tried to find a way to fix the problem on the web to no avail, so I guess now I'm in the market for a new printer. Any suggestions are welcome. I really guess I just need something basic.....I use my printer to print out shipping labels and recipes mainly.

That is why I'm so late posting today.

We were blessed with a beautiful and windy day after a morning of thunderstorms. After workPatti and I took Cleopatra, Lily, and Belle, to the nature trail to walk and get in the water a bit. If you saw Cleopatra walk you would laugh....she likes to walk, but when she sees other people or dogs coming towards us she just sits down and waits for them to come to her.....funny,

but a bit irritating when it's a day when there are lots of people on the trail.

Earlier this week I tried taking treats with me and as long as she is walking at a nice pace she gets treated occasionally.....it seems to be working! YAY!

Another good thing is that my countertops are in!!! I love them!

Yes, the stove top is in, but not hooked up yet.You know what that means....now they can install the appliances....those are supposed to be going in on Wednesday....so hopefully I'll be dyeing wool by next weekend!!!! Oh yeah,,,,and cooking :)

The doors with the glass inserts will be here Saturday as well, so hopefully I'll have more pictures to share very soon.

As well as pictures of a new guest who is staying with us.

May is stroke awareness month

!May is Stroke Awareness month!
My boss, the one above in the picture on the left, is in the video that is playing in the cinemas, Springfield Cardinals baseball games and on cable.

The other guy in the picture above used to work for my grandpa when he had a country music show here in Springfield.

More wool collections

I've been digging through my wool stash a bit more this morning and came up with these wool combinations for you.

I call this first one Purple Passion.

From left to right you will be receiving 1/8 yard of each of these wools. The first is a softly spotted hand-dyed wool (13" x 15")and the other three are wonderful mill-dyed wools from Rebecca Erb measuring (16" x 16", 14" x 17", and 13" x 16"). A total of 1/2 yard.

Great for flowers, night skies or a funky cat....you decide.

This is (4) 1/8 yard pieces that are all hand-dyed.....the coloring is hard to describe....brownish with hints of purples and rust....so hard to get a good picture of this color.

All pieces are no less than 6" x 30"

Great for tree trunks, animals or backgrounds.

I'm going to be a vendor

Just got word that I'll be participating in the Marshfield Fiber Fair in the "Simply Fibers" booth!

I've never had a chance to attend so I'm really excited. Now just to figure out what to take with me.....hand-dyed wools, patterns, rugs, tools for hooking, books.....so many possibilities and I'm not sure yet how much space we'll have.

"Pumpkin on the Vine"

The dark green wool with the gold and cranberry windowpane is 1/4 yard measuring 14" x 33".

The second wool is a great plaid that is about 1/8 yard measuring 16" x 12" and the third wool is a great rusty orange with a wide windowpane about 1/8 yard measuring 16" x 14".

All of these wools are from Rebecca Erb and I think they look smashing together.

Gorgeous Gourds

Here is my first wool collection that I've put together.

I'm calling this collection "Gorgeous Gourds".

The first piece is a color called "nutmeg" and is overdyed on a lovely piece of wool from Rebecca Erb (1/4yd measuring 13" x 32"). The second piece is a piece from my personal stash (1/8 yd measuring 13" x 13") and the final piece is a spot dyed piece called "Carolina Sand"(1/4 yd measuring 13" x 32").

I think they work wonderfully together.
