More wool collections

I've been digging through my wool stash a bit more this morning and came up with these wool combinations for you.

I call this first one Purple Passion.

From left to right you will be receiving 1/8 yard of each of these wools. The first is a softly spotted hand-dyed wool (13" x 15")and the other three are wonderful mill-dyed wools from Rebecca Erb measuring (16" x 16", 14" x 17", and 13" x 16"). A total of 1/2 yard.

Great for flowers, night skies or a funky cat....you decide.

$13 for the collection.

Shipping will be $2.50 first class or $4.60 priority mail.

I have 2 of these collections available only to my blog readers.
ONE OF THESE HAS BEEN SOLD-THANK YOU!
ONE COLLECTION LEFT

I haven't cut them yet, so if you get both collections you will be receiving 1/4 yard of each and I'm always happy to combine shipping.

This next collection I'm calling Tree Trunks.

This is (4) 1/8 yard pieces that are all hand-dyed.....the coloring is hard to describe....brownish with hints of purples and rust....so hard to get a good picture of this color.

All pieces are no less than 6" x 30"

Great for tree trunks, animals or backgrounds.

$16 for the collection.

SOLD-THANK YOU!

Shipping is $2.50 first class or $4.60 Priority Mail.

I used some of these colors in the background of this cat rug that I hooked.

If you are interested in any of these wools just e-mail me by clicking on the mailbox and I'll get back to you.

Hopefully this e-mail program will run like a sportscar!
Oh yeah, if you've signed up before, you will need to re-sign up.....new service ya know.

The dark green wool with the gold and cranberry windowpane is 1/4 yard measuring 14" x 33".

Busy day yesterday

Okay, so I thought since yesterday it was my "day off" I might get to hook a bit....

WRONG

However.....

More progress on the kitchen....spoke with my contractor and designer and they came out to get some of the doors to take them to put seed glass in them....YAY!

Also was given the go ahead to paint the ceiling.....finished the kitchen side before they came to start installing the floor and finished up the dining room while trying to watch American Idol at the same time.

I'm pulling for David Cook....just in case you are curious.

Got the yard mowed.....hot day yesterday...I think it got up to 77.....beautiful....but we got lots of rain last night, but today was beautiful, yet again.

Here are a few shots of the garden that Kenny took.I just love the bleeding hearts....they are one of my favorites....so graceful!

I haven't had much time to make anything from our Primitive Rug Hookers Group....but if you look at the side bar you can see a few things that they are making.

It's supposed to be 75 degrees today.....great day for gardening, washing windows or just walking on the nature trail.
I've changed my carousel to the right to reflect some of the things I'm thinking of this morning.....
....window washing...

.....going green....

....eating healthier....

....planting flowers....
.....dog walking....

Oh yeah, I also added another new pattern to my Etsy store and a few pieces of wool from my stash to the eBay store.

Hooking?

.....not hardly!

I really find myself "wanting" to, but just haven't made the time.

This week has been filled with a bevy of activity on the kitchen, a new fence going up on one side of our yard, working and trying to manage the home remodel over the phone.

A lot has been completed, but there is still more to come.

A lot of the cabinets are in....YAY!

Some of the appliances and sinks arrived today...YAY!

The "granite man" is coming in the morning....YAY!
I get to sleep in Saturday morning and I'm so looking forward to it!!!
I have found a little bit of time to put a few rug hooking patterns in my Etsy store, so you might want to stop by there and take a look.

Kind of like Christmas

Okay, these pictures are probably not going to be exciting for you to look at, but when I got home from work last night this is what was waiting for me. It's just like Christmas.....all of these packages waiting to be unpacked.....my kitchen cabinets!!!!
YAY!!!

Made in Canada....our friends to the north. It's incredible to think that all of this is going to fit in my kitchen....I know it will...just a bit mind boggling right now.

The rounded shelves below is one of the ones we had custom made to carry on the style of our 50's atomic ranch home. Right now it's covered in dust, but it's about the same color as the ORIGINAL cabinets that were in our house before someone painted over them.

Hope to post more pictures at the end of the day. And I thought I was going to paint the ceilings last night....guess again.
One thing about home remodeling...you have to learn to go with the flow.

Today....

...it's cold, grey and overcast but the tulips are in bloom and brightening up the day.

Our washing machine has just about bit the dust....

...the other day when I was doing laundry it started making a loud noise and when I went to check on it....it was smoking!!!!

We've had a new belt put on and they said it might last until Thursday....so now we're washing machine shopping!!!

Did you know....

....Gomer Pyle was a rug hooker?!

Rain

We just keep getting more! And to boot, it's cold today....38 degrees at 10am here. Kenny had to go out and wrap up a few of his tropical plants last night.

You might take a look over at the right at my carousel that I created this morning of things I'd wear today if I had them. I love the bright floral umbrella....I think it's my favorite of all the things I picked out.....kind of fun...I'll try to change that as the days go on.

Today, I think I'll stay inside and hook more (not so sure about the stripes in the tulip...they might come out, but for now I'll leave them in to "hold a place").I'm also going to try to list more of my salt and pepper shaker collection on eBay and Etsy. With the kitchen remodeling going on, I've decided to send some of my treasures on to new homes. You can tell which ones are my favorites because they have higher prices than the other ones. I need to find them new homes, but as I take them out and photograph them it brings back all of the great memories of going to auctions and flea markets with Kenny and the fun of the "hunt"....I've decided to limit my collection to shakers that are dogs in houses....a manageable collection.

If you have any shakers that you are looking for or a subject/character/etc. that you are looking for just ask me....I have LOTS more to list and even more that are up in the attic....YIKES....could I bit a bit obsessive-compulsive...me thinks so....if one is good then 100 is better!!!

Here is a great set that is headed to my eBay store later today.

All right...better get with it and get out of my fuzzy pink robe and get productive!!!
